Y Combinator invests in defence tech for the first time

Top world accelerator, YCombinator, has backed its first defence startup, Ares Industries. Ares is creating a new anti-ship cruise missile class that will provide the capabilities that the Department of Defence needs in a form factor that is 10 times smaller and 10 times cheaper, with deliveries scheduled for 2025.

Ukraine’s startup ecosystem ranks 46th in the world according to CIVITTA and u.ventures

Despite ongoing challenges, Ukraine’s startup ecosystem will rise to 46th place in the world in 2024, with 2,600+ active startups and $6.7bn in IT service exports.
