Sigma Software, together with Sigma Software Labs, has completed the 2nd season of the internal AI Product Ideas Contest and announced winning ideas that are now going into development.
The AI Product Ideas Contest is an internal initiative run by Sigma Software Labs. It encourages Sigma Software specialists to come up with AI-powered product ideas that solve real business problems, the kind that repeat across many companies rather than one client. The contest is part of Sigma Software’s company-wide AI initiative.
AI Products Built on Everyday Problems

The second season of the AI Product Ideas Contest gathered 55+ ideas from people across the company, almost twice as many as in the first one. Ten finalists received an opportunity to talk through their ideas with the company board, highlighting their importance and benefits. After a long discussion, the jury chose three winners – ideas that came from real business problems and can bring tangible results.
The winner AI product ideas:
- AI Estimation Assistant by Alexander Lysenko, Team Lead and Architect, could cut the preparation of tender estimates from weeks to hours, so architects and team leads no longer have to step away from their projects for every bid.
- AI-powered Last-mile Planning Platform by Iryna Tereshchenko, Senior Project Manager, and her team, works on top of the routing tools used by a logistics company and could cut the workload of operations teams by 1.5 hours per person every day.
- AI Regression Scope Assistant by Olha Yemets, Senior Test Engineer, identifies changes made in the code before a release and suggests which tests to run again. It could cut regression planning from 3–4 hours to 15 minutes for every release.
From Demo Day to Pilots

The winners get mentoring and support from the Labs team to develop their ideas into actual products. Each idea follows the path of a startup: checking the business case, building a first version, testing it with real users and growing it into a product. Sigma Software engineers and product specialists build and test each idea together with its author, which allows to implement winning ideas as soon as in a couple months. The model has already been tested and proved efficient. The first season brought in 30+ ideas, and four of them went into development within a few months. One implemented product, an AI tool that screens job candidates, now saves recruiters about an hour per candidate.
“For the second season in a row, our people show real entrepreneurial spirit. It takes nerve to put your own idea forward, present it to the company’s leaders and commit to building it. 55+ ideas this season tell us that this mindset is not rare at Sigma Software,”
says Yaroslava Gritsaienko, COO and Labs Galaxy Community Lead at Sigma Software Labs.
