Labs Digest: 5 key wins for Ukrainian startups 

Welcome to our digest for August and early September! In recent weeks, Ukrainian startups have made incredible progress: from competing for a place at the global round of Startup World Cup 2024 to receiving key grants and preparing for Web Summit 2024. Read more in the news here.

Spendbase — a Ukrainian platform for managing corporate subscriptions

UA startup Spendbase will compete in San Francisco for $1 million in investment. The startup was chosen at the regional competition of Startup World Cup, organized by Sigma Software Labs with EIT Community RIS Hub Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

Startups on the Seeds of Bravery program

As part of the Ukrainian Startup Fund’s Seeds of Bravery program, 59 Ukrainian founders received grants for project development, including Haiqu, a Ukrainian high-tech startup aiming to change the quantum computing ecosystem in Europe, backed by SID Venture Partners. And the program plans to allocate an additional $10 million.

Finalists of the UNICORN program

More than 100 participants took part in the UNICORN program with top mentors from Revolut, Netflix, Uklon, Mono, and others. 48 teams were selected to presented their ideas at the Demo Day. The 1st place with a prize of $3,000 was awarded to PEONY, a startup developing disposable eco-pads that dissolve in water when flushed down the toilet.
