$10 million from Google and prominence of defenсe startups

Defence startups have attracted the attention of the whole world – innovators in Ukraine created over 1600 defence projects that received grants from the government totalling $3.2 million. So we start our May news with Defence Tech.

Defence Builder starts acceleration program

    Starting May 1, startup teams begin the acceleration program of Defence Builder, which we supported together with toer-1 Ukrainian companies.     $10M from Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund

      Ukrainian startups can receive up to $100,000 and up to $350,000 in Cloud credits to restore war-damaged businesses, scale up, or create new products. Priority will be given to companies using AI, and applications for the grant will be accepted until June 5.

      Ukrainian startup BUKI included in TIME’s ranking of the best EdTech companies

      TIME World’s Top EdTech Companies 2024

        BUKI is an EdTech startup with a marketplace of more than 110,000 teachers and tutors. The company ranked sixth on the list and was the only one from Ukraine. Read startup story.

        Ukrainian startup Haiqu – among the most promising quantum startups according to Sifted

          In 2023, investments in quantum startups in Europe increased by 3% and reached $781 million. Backed by SID Venture Partners, Haiqu closed a $4 million pre-seed round of funding last year and now is among the 11 quantum companies that are attracting the attention of VCs in Europe.
